Puvidham is now an NIOS learning space community with children whose families are committed to living sustainably. At present 1200 families are part of our community. We provide guidance on parenting too!
Numerous parents asked us for guidance as they want to homeschool their children, focusing on how to live simply and sustainably. Through our social enterprise “Mudhive Collective” we enabled this support. Link to Mudhive.in
- We regularly conduct various workshops on sustainable living such as Return to Soil, Science for Sustainability, Home and Beyond at Puvidham campus.
- We have designed an online Learning Facilitator Program to create skilled and compassionate facilitators. These teachers host weekly online sessions to guide the parent and child to take charge of their learning in their own context.
- We have created a series of guidebooks, compiling the entire Puvidham curriculum, pedagogy and practices for the children of age 3-12, which will enable parents to create a nurturing and inspiring learning environment for their children at their own homes.
We hope that these guidebooks along with the various workshops and homeschooling support already offered by Puvidham will make homeschooling a more accessible, implementable and viable option for lakhs of parents in India and across the world. We also foresee that the publication of these books will help Puvidham share 30 years of its experience with other organisations from around the world interested in building sustainable learning spaces and communities.
